Colonoscopy

At present, colonoscopy plays an irreplaceable role in the diagnosis and monitoring of large intestine neoplasms and has become the method of choice for the treatment of early neoplastic lesions. It also holds a key position in the diagnosis of other colourectal diseases. The indications for colonoscopy can be divided into preventative for patients at average risk of colourectal cancer, dispensary care for those at increased risk, and examination for symptomatic patients with suspected large intestine disease.
The publication is a joint work of leading Czech experts from the ranks of gastroenterologists, paediatric gastroenterologists, surgeons, and radiologists. It is currently the only book on the Czech market that comprehensively and up-to-date deals with all aspects of colonoscopic examination.
