Coltrane John: Trane - the Atlantic Collection - LP

John Coltrane's catalogue is being made available on vinyl as part of a reissue campaign. On that occasion, the Trane novelty was born: The Atlantic Collection, which traces the musician's tenure on the Atlantic label. The collection includes the famous tracks My Favourite Things and Giant Steps, and is supplemented with notes by Ben Ratliff, renowned jazz critic and author of the biography of John Coltrane. The recordings have been remastered for this edition.

The famous jazz saxophonist started with bebop and hard bop, later becoming a pioneer of free jazz. He often collaborated with jazz greats such as trumpeter Miles Davis and pianist Thelonious Monk.
