Confessions of an Inquisitor

Forget THE WIZARD'S CURSE, now there's THE INQUISITOR'S REPORT! This gloomy novel reveals the background of the Šumperk-Losinki witch trials at the end of the dark 17th century from the perspective of one of the inquisitors, František Ferdinand Gaup. Murder, theft, fornication. A man who has tasted power, betrayed himself and his friends, sold himself to hell, to the demon of greed. Was he a mere cog in the wheel, as he claimed, or was his contribution more significant than he was willing to admit? The confession of the presiding judge of the witch trials, full of senseless cruelties, conceals nothing.
