Cowards and murderers

The unpunished perpetrators of old crimes tremble in terror and old injustices are brought back to life. A mysterious avenger takes justice into his own hands, unleashing a bloody game with no winners or losers.
It's a bleak autumn, and Captain Leoš Baxa, driven by a burning desire for revenge, sets out to hunt the greatest serial killer in our history. Klara Matějková, a young investigative journalist, has a different motive for catching the murderer. She sees him as an executor of justice on the never-punished minions of the communist regime, which she despises with all her soul.

The investigation, however, does not go as either of them imagined. Forced by circumstance, Klara and Leoš form an unexpected alliance in the pursuit of justice. Together they venture into the dark corners of a history that was supposed to remain hidden forever. Somewhere deep in the shadows of the past lies a cruel truth that turns heroes into cowards, cowards into heroes, and hunters into prey.
