Dora uncovers a vast conspiracy in her search for the truth.

Dora, a young maid at the university, finds herself in the middle of a revolution that means liberation for her. Accompanied by one of the student radicals, she leaves the service and embarks on a search for what her brother Ambrož may have seen before his death at the Society for the Research of the Supernatural. However, instead of the Society, another facility will be put in charge, namely the National Museum of Labor. In this strange, forgotten building, eerily realistic wax figures of miners, nannies, salesmen, and people of various other professions await her. While revolution and counter-revolution rage outside, unleashing the forces of love, betrayal, magic, and terrifying darkness, Dora' s search for the truth uncovers a vast conspiracy. and takes her to the edge of worlds. In The Curator, Owen King managed to create an extraordinary and captivating time and place, and above all, a courageous, inquisitive, and utterly unforgettable heroine.
