Jack works in Moscow as a secret agent protecting a government informant, Komarov (Sebastian Koch). McClane' s father and son are forced to overcome personal disagreements and put their own necks in order to bring Komarov to safety and avert the threat of a catastrophic crime in a bleak place on our planet - Chernobyl. The plutonium trade, the Russian oligarchs, the brutal Moscow underworld, as well as the various ideas of John and Jack McClane on how to enforce the law in these circumstances come into play. In addition, as a secret agent in Moscow, Jack McClane knows and speaks well, while John is completely lost. And that certainly doesn' t add to his good mood.
