Death sentence

Jarda Horák serves in the municipal police, is happily married, is expecting his first child with his wife, and is fully committed to his work with the men of the law, even though he sometimes faces ridicule from his colleagues for his benevolence and condescending attitude toward the dregs of society. During one night on duty, he and a colleague are called to a brawl between homeless men and drug addicts on the outskirts of town that ends in a brutal rape and murder. And although for most of the police officers present he will be part of a long line of horrific experiences, for Jarda the nighttime raid becomes the harbinger of an unfortunate sequence of events that will turn his entire future upside down. How many blows of fate can a man endure before he loses all moral and ethical principles?
