Deep Purple: Machine Head / Limited Ed. – LP

Machine Head is the sixth studio album by Deep Purple. Compared to its predecessors, it is more melodic and features elements of heavy metal; it also contains perhaps the band's most famous track, "Smoke on the Water".

It is the most successful album in the band's discography and is widely regarded as one of the defining hard rock gems of the 1970s, alongside classics such as Led Zeppelin IV and Paranoid.

It topped the UK charts and is often cited as a major influence on the development of heavy metal. In 2001, Q magazine named it one of the 50 Heaviest Albums of All Time.
