Denet: Krev LP

One of the most significant bands in the early 1990s in the Ostrava region was undoubtedly the death-thrash DENET . The band, which in the first post-revolutionary years was talked about as one of the greatest hopes of the domestic metal scene, came together sometime in 1984.

Maybe the second DENET record - “Blood“ has a cult character. Originally, it was considered to record it in the form of an elp, but for unspecified reasons, it came to an end and “Blood“ came out as the second, high-quality and interesting demo. It was recorded in March 1992 in the Fors studio in Český Těšín, composed by Jary Opiel (guitar, vocals), Petr Šrámek (guitar), Radek Hložánek (bass) and Petr Kuneš (drums). Demáč, who was formally tightened quite professionally, also contained excellent music, which was mostly related to death metal, but it also shone through properly thrash influences. It was actually a kind of swan song of the death period DENET and on the demo it was clearly indicated by two newer songs, which are tuned more to a later, modern-thrash work. The biggest hit from “Blood“ is probably the hit “Mortuary“, but other things like “Lágr Mogodan“ or “Infectious Brutal Fury“ can be considered a classic DENET material. The content of the demo is then perfectly illustrated by the cover, depicting a kind of figure in the bathroom splashed with blood.
