Dick O' Brass: Night Watch - CD

Dick O'Brass are a leading protagonist of Celtic rock on the domestic music scene. Six years after their debut album, “Disk O'Brass”, they are releasing the album ”Noční hlídka” (Night Watch). The musical expression of this international band undeniably draws inspiration from the traditional music of Brittany, Ireland, and the British Isles, yet the vast majority of their repertoire consists of their own work, mixing modern musical styles with a unique instrumental line-up.

Unlike their debut, which was largely made up of traditional songs, the new record mainly features original material. The band has composed songs with Czech lyrics, in which the traditional melodies of Ireland and Brittany are more of an evocation, like paintings, or used to suggest the mood of the tracks.
