Donor - DVD

Jonas (Brenton Thwaites) grows up in an idyllic world where there is only happiness. People do not know suffering, war, violence, fear or pain. The basis of the world is monotony: same homes, same clothes, same families. On the edge of the community lives the only holder and guardian of all the true memories of humanity - the Donor (Jeff Bridges). Through him, Jonas acquires what no one else must know - the truth about real life and the experience of previous generations. Jonas begins to understand that his community lives in the illusion of sufficiency and security at the cost of a complete absence of emotion and choice. People do not feel emotions, love, passion, friendship, they do not perceive colours. The feeling of harmony is created artificially. Jonas discovers the darkest side of the utopian world. Everyone in the community is deprived of all bad memories and experiences through daily injections. Their world is a deception, paid for daily by the deaths of uncomfortable people, in favor of a controlled existence. In the face of this fact, Jonas can no longer live as before. He faces a difficult decision not only about his own life, but about the future of the whole world.
