Don't come back for me

What if the only person she can rely on is the very person she should hate?

Nell Gallows is the last survivor of the secret elite unit Riøt, which faced a devastating attack two years ago. Now she' s assigned to another special unit. Malum is a team that goes where no one else dares or where no one else can. But the Malum assassins blame the Riøt unit for the death of one of their members during a failed mission in Patagonia. Nell is convinced that no one is waiting for her with open arms.
When she finds herself on a plane bound for California to meet her new colleagues, nothing bothers her anymore. During her last night of freedom, she gets carried away by a passionate romance with an unknown man. But she has no idea that the mysterious Bradshaw is not only a member of Malum, but also her greatest nightmare - the most feared demon on the battlefield. Bones.
Nell experiences hell on earth during her training. Bones is cruel and shows her his contempt. He wants to force her to give up. And even though their missions end in repeated fiascos, Nell decides to stay by his side until the very end. It' s the only thing he can do when there' s no one left to trust. To reach the point where her common sense ends. Where they only have each other.
