Dove - DVD

The story tells of twelve-year-old Susanne from the North German coast who loses her dove. In Prague, she is shot by an unfortunate boy, Michal, who is confined to a wheelchair. He eventually takes pity on the shot bird and tries to heal it so he can return home, helped by his friend Martin, a painter. More important than words in this film are feelings, images, humanity and poetry. Everything is underlined by excellent cinematography by Jan Čuřík, music by Zdeněk Liška and great acting performances, especially by the little Karel Smyczek.
