Egypt: Scandals of the ancient world
(Scandals of the Ancient World: Egypt)
directed by: Christopher Casssel, USA, 2008, 44 min.
In the history of ancient Egypt, there have also been events that can be described as unusual and even scandalous from the point of view of the Egyptians themselves. The documentary tells of a probable love affair between Queen Hatshepsut and her chief architect Senenmut. A real scandal was also a harem conspiracy organized by one of the wives of Ramesses III. Another scandal concerns the organization of groups that robbed tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The film is an interesting insight into little-known events, which in their time certainly caused a scandal in the whole of Egyptian society.
