Elton John: Diamonds (2017) (2x LP) - LP

Elton John is releasing a greatest hits compilation, Diamonds!

Legendary British singer, pianist and composer Elton John, whose legacy has left an indelible mark on the music, fashion and entertainment industries, is releasing the ultimate collection of his greatest hits, titled Diamonds. The collection brings together the most important musical milestones of Elton's career. To name just a few: Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man (I Think It's Going To Be A Long Long Time), Candle In The Wind, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, Can You Feel The Love Tonight and the duet with George Michael, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

Diamonds celebrates his fifty-year partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin, with whom he formed one of the most unforgettable songwriting duos in music history. Their legacy is a time-tested bond, immense creativity, harmony and commercial success. For example, the hit Candle In The Wind topped the charts in three different decades. Their music continues to change the cultural landscape, fill stadiums and dominate the charts.

"We are 50 years apart and our relationship has never been so good. There have been times when we have written with other people, but our love has never died. We have an incredible respect and love for each other that has only grown," says John of his relationship with Taupin. "We still get the best from what we do. There's a magic that happens when we get together and write something — it's just can't be bettered. That feeling has never got old," adds Taupin.

In addition to the 34 tracks, the 2CD version includes an illustrated ten-page booklet. The 3CD version contains 17 bonus tracks, Elton John's personal favourites, a 72-page hardback book with the stories behind each song, and 5 postcards with illustrations created by Elton himself.
