Ethics

At a time when we are confronted with a changing and uncertain world, when trust in society is diminishing, conspiracy theories are thriving and mutual respect is alarmingly disappearing from public debate, understanding ethics and its foundations is becoming increasingly important. In this book, Simon Blackburn presents the fundamental questions and problems of contemporary ethics, but at the same time he makes us think about the world around us. It shows us how we might think about the meaning of life and why we should distrust the simplistic absolutisms that often dominate moral debates.
