Everyone wants to buy a Klara

Klára is an ordinary student. Or at least, that's how it seems. But life has a habit of changing without warning – and in the blink of an eye, a young girl's seemingly normal story transforms into a desperate fight for honour, identity, and survival. On her journey, Klára will face the most painful things early adulthood can bring – the breakdown of family relationships, infidelity, rape, and prostitution. And the characters who accompany her along the way add more and more sensitive layers to the story. A gripping narrative inspired by real-life stories that asks questions as old as humanity itself: What makes a person human? And how broken must a person be before they stop searching for the answer? A story about a woman's inner strength, born in a place where no one would expect to find it.
