EXODUS: Gods and Kings - DVD

In ancient Egypt, the ruler was equal to a God, and this was no different in the case of Ramses (Joel Edgerton). The mighty ruler had only one friend, Moses (Christian Bale), who had grown up with him since childhood after the royal family took him in as a Jewish foundling. However, this friend became a sworn enemy when a “different” God appeared to Moses and entrusted him with a difficult task – to free his people from Egyptian slavery and lead them to the promised land. To be their leader and their prophet. Moses accepts this task. But before he can lead the 600,000 Jewish slaves on the arduous journey to their new homeland, he will witness the ten plagues of Egypt, through which an angered God inflicts immense suffering, hailstorms, destruction by fire, terrifying epidemics, and death upon the land. Yet none of this will stop Pharaoh Ramses from trying to stop and destroy Moses and his people at all costs.
