Extase - DVD

Eva (Hedy Kiesler), the daughter of a landowner, marries the wealthy but emotionally distant Emil (Zvonimir Rogoz). Already on the unfulfilled wedding night she realizes what a mistake she has made. One sunny morning, under delicate circumstances, he meets a young engineer, Adam (Aribert Mog), with whom he experiences moments of ecstatic passion.

The story of a love triangle is the starting point for Machatý to develop a unique sensual imagery. In the lead role, the late Hollywood actress Hedy Kiesler used her talent to embody the ideal of eroticism and feminine vitality.
