Mysterious forces threaten the streets of 1926 New York, risking the exposure of the wizarding community. A young Englishman, Newt Scamander, has just arrived in the city at the end of his global journey to research and rescue magical creatures.
When an unsuspecting No-Maj, Jacob Kowalski, accidentally lets some of Newt's beasts escape, a group of unlikely heroes must catch the scattered creatures before they inadvertently hurt someone, or someone hurts them. They find themselves up against a society of wizards who believe magical creatures are evil, as well as a group of enemies of the wizarding world with ties to dark forces. A clash seems inevitable.
