Fear Merchants

A skeptic's guide to the climate apocalypse

Don't panic. The powerful have always tried to keep people feeling guilty and afraid. Apocalyptic reports in the media should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
The book Fearmongers reveals how disaster news is manufactured using statistical tricks. It shows why attempts to predict the future using computers are failing. It describes the scandals surrounding the UN's manipulation of global warming data. Read how modern censorship suppresses uncomfortable opinions. And why the financial interests of the climate-industrial complex are the ones who will pay the most.
The author does not deny climate change, but explains that climate change has always been with humans, as have the vagaries of weather. "It has always been a problem for humanity to survive cold spells. Warm periods, on the other hand, were called climatic optimums. To say that we should be afraid of warming is a denial of the whole experience of human history."
