Florence + The Machine: Dance Fever

LP Record Even before the pandemic turned the world upside down, songwriter Florence Welch was fascinated by a very particular historical phenomenon: choreomania. This describes the Renaissance-era gatherings of large groups of people, sometimes thousands, who would dance wildly together – until they reached complete exhaustion, collapsed, and died. Florence could identify all too well with this image, having spent over a decade touring non-stop, dedicating herself to her songs on stages across the globe, night after night. Florence's love of dance runs like a common thread through the entire new album.
