Can a Shatchran soldier survive in the territory of an ancient enemy?

Twelve hundred years ago, the Shatchrans were attacked by terrifying creatures from the other side of a mysterious nebula. And they came close to almost wiping them out. Since then, the Shatchran space soldiers have sought to destroy any alien ship that mysteriously crosses the impenetrable nebula and appears in their space.

One day, even the young and inexperienced Rašchet encounters such an intruder and confronts him without hesitation. And it fails.

But he won' t die. Thanks to the mercy of the strange crew, he can glimpse what is truly hidden behind the nebula. And then he discovers that no secret is revealed for free, monsters can take many forms, and nothing happens by chance.

Kchrat is a return to the roots of adventure science fiction in the best traditions of the genre's golden age. Marie Domská plays out a spectacular interstellar saga, but it is skillfully anchored in a very personal and human story.
— Jan Kotouč, author of the Central Empire series

The book easily withstands international comparison. It' s great that a sci-fi series of similar quality is being created in the Czech Republic, and it' s even better to be there from the very beginning.
— Strength

The narrative style is precise and subtle, containing many cultural references and psychological hints. The story weaves together several plot lines, yet it doesn' t seem confusing; on the contrary, it adds dynamics to the narrative.
