Four Aces
Buck Fisher was the uncrowned king of the region around Wyoming. He was a feared man who had no friends. The people who worked for him did so for money or out of fear. From the moment he suffered a serious injury and lost his leg, his empire began to fall apart. Those who worked for him were no longer afraid and began to steal from him. His less powerful neighbours sought to break up his ranch. A brutish foreman humiliated his daughter and wanted to take her as his wife in return for continuing to work for Buck Fisher. In this crisis, the wealthy rancher decided to take one last chance. He summoned the sons of four of his former comrades-in-arms from the Civil War. He was convinced that these young, fearless gunslingers could protect his daughter and her dowry. The whole venture was a gamble. He had gained his wealth by sacrificing the lives of his fellow soldiers and embezzling the gold that was the spoils of war.
