Fousáč: To My Villagers - CD
The story of this recording is truly remarkable. I've heard the bearded one and it seemed to me that even though you can't quite make much out on the draw harmonica, it's different than usual. So we high-fived and then he told me the story that led him to the harmonica. He was quite a well-known player and Tibetan bowls, he had released three CDs, and he used to carry his "instruments" in accordion cases that he had from his father. Well, once, this spring in particular, it happened that he forgot to switch the content. So he came to the production with a harmonica instead of Tibetan bowls, which he had never played before. But when he was there, he just played a concert without any prior preparation. And this also explains for me why, unlike many other players of this instrument, I find him different in his style of playing and in his approach to lyrics and life in general. Guerilla Records tries to keep a certain bar and Fousáč clearly meets our conditions: original music with interesting, authentic lyrics.
