Frank Sinatra: The Jazz Crooner

LP Record The Voice at work: a compilation of the legendary singer's most beautiful swing songs. Thanks to his distinctive voice, the whole world called the singer, actor, and entertainer Frank Sinatra (1915–98) The Voice. This made him the epitome of a crooner. Crooning describes a style of singing that emerged in the 1920s with the development of the microphone. It is characterised by an intimate, warm, and sometimes strongly sexually-charged voice. Sinatra's musical career began in the swing era as a singer with the Harry James and Tommy Dorsey orchestras. Concert and radio performances with Dorsey quickly made Sinatra famous across the country and encouraged him in his plans for a solo career.
