Frantisek Pavlicek: Immortal Achilles

František Pavlíček has transformed the most famous of the stories of Greek mythology into an impressive dramatic form, which, following the example of ancient works, does not lack a chorus to help illuminate the eternal conflict between divine and human destiny, the clash of heroism and betrayal. Achilles, or Achilles, was, according to Homer, the most beautiful, bravest and swiftest of the Greek heroes in the Trojan War. What did Thetis, Achilles' mother, do to protect her son from the fate of a mortal earthling and prevent him from participating in the war? How did King Agamemnon and the hero Odysseus view him? And how did the will of the gods intervene in the ten years of the siege? Performers: Ivan Trojan, Alois Švehlík, Daniela Kolářová, Svatopluk Skopal, Radovan Lukavsky, Jiří Plachý, Miroslava Pleštilová, Josef Vinklář, Radoslav Brzobohatý, Peter Pelzer, Jiří Holý, Marie Marešová, Antonín Hardt, Jana Henžlová, Ladislav Brothanek, Tomáš Töpfer and Pavel Soukup.
