Fru Fru: Don' t Believe in Silence - CD

A drumming commando with a rhythmic hummingbird – they play original music that completely transcends genres, touching on rock, jazz, world music, funk, and dance music. They'll fill your ears with live grooves and get your blood pumping.

Their music is characterised by an unconventional approach to harmony, a preference for rhythm over melody with hypnotic percussion and drum passages, the sound of steel drums (which was a hallmark of their first album), and extensive use of sampled sounds. Last but not least, their lyrics are somewhat controversial, as the band also tries to react to societal developments.

An example of this is the anti-racist track “White People”, which “shoots into its own ranks”. The basic tracks were recorded at Sono Studio, and the rest was finished in the comfort of a home studio. The final mastering was also done at Sono. So, forget the tired clichés and let yourself be drawn into an original musical world. You haven't experienced this kind of drive since the Talking Heads records of the eighties.
