Fugees: The Score Ltd Clr

LP Record - By 1996, the world had seen many hip-hop blockbusters. Some of these albums were pop, others were gangster rap, and some were given the slightly superior label of "socially conscious". Few records, if any, ticked all three boxes, and none were more artistically or commercially successful than the second album from Fugees. The instrumentation is tailor-made for rock fans, the rather obvious Bob Marley cover for stoners and university students, and the lead vocalist Lauryn Hill's vocals are soulful enough for middle-aged listeners who are still on the fence about hip-hop. Clef, Hill, and the third member Pras Michael – the man who brought it all together in the late 80s.
