Gardening: the Idea - DVD

The GARDEN STORE film trilogy consists of three separate films set against the backdrop of the most dramatic periods of the last century, chronologically preceding the beloved film Cosy Dens (Pelíšky). It tells the story of three families: the family of an air radio operator, the family of a hairdressing salon owner, and the family of a garden store owner. Spanning 20 years, it covers the lives of characters who had to live through the best years of their lives during these turbulent times.

The third chapter of the family chronicle takes place at the end of the 1950s and explores family relationships scarred by war and the communist coup. With a tragicomic perspective, it depicts the generational clash between the pre-war and post-war generations. The Suitor is a romantic comedy about parents' ideas of what their children's happiness should look like.
