Ghosting

In Singapore, cameras see you everywhere. But some shadows can deceive even the most advanced system.

I arrive in the Asian metropolis for a new career and a fresh start. One night

in a bar with a mysterious stranger and sex that I can't forget seems like the perfect beginning. But by morning, he's gone. No name, no trace.

The real shock, however, comes in my new flat. On the wall hangs a portrait of the man from the bar. When I ask about it, the estate agent gives me a chilling reply: “That was the owner. He died tragically a year ago.”

I'm descending into paranoia. Are my vivid dreams just a sign of madness, or am I

actually being visited by a ghost? But then, a month later, I meet him at a party. He's flesh and blood, yet officially dead. In that moment, it hits me – he didn't pull me into his bed for nothing.
