Even from half-time, the fans could start celebrating the league championship title, because it was clear to everyone that it simply couldn't end any other way. Even the usually reserved announcer, Mirek Štembera, uttered the memorable sentence into the air about ten minutes before the end of the match, beginning with the words: “Kangaroos, rise…” In the ensuing euphoria, I don't remember the rest verbatim, but it was highly emotional; in the stand behind me, everyone was standing, hugging, and cheering. Children, women, and the more sensitive souls were crying, and there was probably no shortage of heart palpitations. After the match ended, the pitch filled with fans and players within minutes.
