Grandma

Few books have been as deeply etched in the hearts of readers as Grandma by the famous Czech writer Bozena Němcová. Over the years, it has been published in many editions and the idyllic village life, centred on the figure of a wise, pious and superstitious old woman, has attracted prominent Czech artists and illustrators. There are works where time and space do not play a role. My grandmother is clear proof of that.
