DVD Film - The cast: Paul Newman. It's not about who you cheat. It's about how. When five Allied generals are captured in Italy during World War II, it is a nightmare for Allied propaganda. The generals refuse to take orders from each other, making it effectively impossible to plan an escape. An ordinary soldier, Harry Frigg has escaped from prison many times, so he is promoted to Major General (one rank above) and is ordered to get captured and get the generals out of the prison camp. Harry is ready to run away, but then he meets a charming countess.
