Investigating a burglary in a medieval monastery

The noble maiden Svatava from Deblín arrives at the Premonstratensian convent Rosa Coeli to become a novice. She was supposed to get married, but her father disagreed with her groom' s family and preferred to send his daughter to a monastery. In the monastery, Svatava learns to read and write and also meets Mlada Přemyslovna, the daughter of the deceased Czech prince Wenceslas II. However, the peaceful days are disrupted by two soldiers who break into the monastery. The male staff neutralizes both robbers, but since it soon becomes clear that this is no ordinary burglary, the Brno provincial judge, Lev z Klobouk, takes over the investigation. The robbers belonged to the entourage of Margrave Vladislav Jindřich, brother of King Přemysl Otakar I.
