Hector

Hector is an authentic book about friendship and courage, full of thrilling rescues in the mountains, after an earthquake or an apartment building explosion, from the perspective of a mountain rescuer. However, the main role is played by his four-legged partner Hector, who was much more than just an animal helper in his most difficult moments. Dramatic tales from the search are interwoven with stories from Hector's training, but also ordinary moments between man and dog. The book is also a tribute to Slovak nature and its beauty, but often also to its fierce pitfalls.
