Histopathological atlas
The Histopathological Atlas is compiled as a set of colour microphotographs containing basic histopathological diagnoses and is intended as a teaching aid especially for undergraduate medical students. However, even a "non-pathologist" physician can find information here that can be used in his clinical practice and that helps to better understand bioptic and autoptic findings. The photographs are accompanied by a brief but concise commentary characterizing the disease and descriptions of significant microscopic changes. The publication includes a short chapter with technical notes, which introduces microscopic technique, fixation and tissue processing, shows an overview of histochemical methods and the basics of immunohistochemistry. The methods of molecular pathology, which are increasingly used in modern diagnostics and without which the field cannot be imagined in the future, are also briefly mentioned. The publication introduces the work of a pathologist, helps to improve the understanding of histopathological findings and general orientation in this field. The publication includes a CD ROM containing both text and images.
