Howe Steve: Love Is - CD
Over the last few years, Steve Howe has been working on his seventeenth solo album. His collaborators were the current singer Yes Jon Davison, who also took care of the bass party, and was accompanied on drums by Steve' s son Dylan Howe. The album “Love Is“ contains ten songs, five of which were sung by Jon Davison and five instrumental, which were very carefully polished and bring a real listening experience in terms of composition and instruments.
English musician and songwriter Stephen James Howe became famous as a guitarist and member of the rock band Yes. He started his career in 1964, gradually working in the bands The Syndicats, Tomorrow and Bodast, which played psychedelic rock. In 1970, he joined Yes and fundamentally influenced their further direction.
He recorded with them the major albums The Yes Album (1971), Fragile (1971) and Close To The Edge (1972), the most successful songs of Yes he wrote from that time together with the singer Jon Anderson (e. g. Roundabout). He then left the group several times and returned to it. In the eighties he also played with the bands Asia or GTR, he collaborated with Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Queen.
