Anton Heretik
Slovak psychologist, forensic expert who deals with clinical and forensic psychology. He graduated in psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava. After his studies he worked as a psychologist at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University Hospital in Bratislava. He has published dozens of scientific studies in the field of psychopathology, psychotherapy and psychodiagnostics. As a forensic expert in psychology, he is particularly interested in the assessment of perpetrators of serious violent crime. He is currently a professor of clinical and forensic psychology.
In 2025, he was awarded the White Crow Award for his long-term professional and civic voice in the public space. It regularly reminds us how important mental health is to the quality of life of both the individual and society. Since the time of Vladimír Mečiar, he has been drawing attention to situations threatening democracy or Slovakia's foreign policy anchorage.
