"Thanks to the donors who financially supported the Fandi mámám organisation and specifically the 'Delegates in the regions' project on Souhvězdí pomoci, we have been able to expand our base of delegates. They are now represented in ten regions, which brings us closer to a greater number of single mothers throughout the Czech Republic whom we can help. At the same time, thanks in part to the funds raised, we have also been able to newly hire a part-time delegate coordinator, who is also a single mother. This income helps her family budget, and her work is helping to expand the network of delegates and their training. We thank everyone who supports single mothers and their children with us. "

Fandi mámám in the regions
Charity project – With our 'Fandi mámám in the regions' project, we want to show single mothers in every region of the Czech Republic that they are not alone and that there are people who can help them. Through our delegates, many of whom have been through our project themselves, we want to provide greater assistance to single mothers and their children in difficult life situations, both in terms of material aid and advice. The project is worth CZK 30,000.
How does Fandi mámám help?
At Fandi mámám, the help is primarily material, specific, and transparent.
From the registered mothers, they select those who meet the conditions for acceptance into the project. They publish their stories and wish lists on the website and social media, and facilitate material assistance between the donor and the mother.
Every donor knows who they are helping. They also offer mothers advisory assistance in the areas of employment, child support enforcement, or family law.
Mothers in need
In the Czech Republic, there are almost two hundred thousand single-parent families, of which more than 90% are headed by single mothers. In addition to material hardship, single mothers often face prejudice, and it's not just them, but also their children, who are often excluded from their peer groups precisely because of material deprivation. Fandi mámám fights against prejudice by publishing their stories. They support single mothers and consider them heroines. Support them too!
Fandi mámám doesn't judge, it helps
They don't judge mothers for how they got into their situation. The point is to help them and their children get through a difficult period, at least partially, and ease their financial burdens or help them fulfil a dream. They want to change the stereotype of single mothers as those who got into a difficult life situation through their own fault – by choosing the wrong partner. Their stories are different, but they all share great strength, courage, and love. Coping with the death of a husband, leaving an abuser, being abandoned by the father of their children, etc., while remaining a pillar of support for the children, is harder than most of us can imagine.

About Fandi mámám
The purely volunteer-based organisation FANDI MÁMÁM z. s. has been operating since 2016. They are not indifferent to the plight of single mothers and their children who find themselves in difficult situations and lack the means to run a household, buy school supplies, or afford children's hobbies. That is why they decided to help mothers secure basic material necessities and to highlight the problem of single motherhood – these women have to support themselves and their children on maternity benefits or a single low salary, pay rent and all household running costs, often without child support or with only a very small amount from the children's fathers. Providing children with a happy and carefree childhood is not free. And we know that single mothers do everything in their power to manage the situation. For us, they are heroines who have not given up, and that is why we support them and their children!
