If Russia wins: a possible scenario
A disturbing vision of an alternative future.
A worryingly realistic forecast of possible developments after Ukraine agrees to an unfavourable peace deal in 2025. A book about the recurring patterns of Russian aggression and the same indecision of the West.
It is 27 March 2028 and Russian troops have just occupied part of Estonia. The American president keeps repeating, that Europe is primarily responsible for its own security, The UN issues toothless resolutions and only one, who looks like, that he takes the Russian threat even a little bit seriously, are the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Western and southern Europe is more concerned about the refugee wave, which for some reason has started to move now... Why has the situation come to this point? Because Ukraine was forced to agree to an extremely unfavourable "peace deal" in 2025, because everyone was too tired of the war and because it was becoming increasingly difficult for Western politicians to justify to their voters investing in a foreign country somewhere far to the east. And because Russia has used the three years of respite to make such good war preparations that the next war could not end except with its overwhelming victory.
