No family is perfect...
Twenty-seven-year-old Malvína Velehorská has two master's degrees, a dissertation in social psychology at Oxford University and a sick leave from a psychiatrist. She is therefore forced to return to her native land, the picturesque northern Moravia. There, she has a peculiar family waiting for her - her father is a politician, her mother an autistic fan of Karel Gott, her grandparents are sickly Catholics and her cousin is an occasional alcoholic.
Humorously depicted clashes with municipal politics, folk festivals, driving lessons or communication with children create bizarre comic situations. As a social psychologist, Malvína sees her family as a source of anthropological study, but she no longer feels so comfortable in the skin of a Moravian peasant.
