Invited and uninvited

The author presents the fruits of his scientific and pedagogical work in sixteen lectures delivered at universities and conferences in seven European countries. From the perspective of philosophy, sociology and theology, he deals with issues of European identity, including current problems of the European Union constitution and the relationship between the West and Islam.

This work is not only an original reflection of Western spiritual culture, the relationship between Christianity, religion and secular culture, but also an urgent call for tolerance and cooperation across various ideological boundaries, a protest against religious and secular fundamentalism and fanaticism, and an invitation to dialogue between adherents of the Christian faith and secular humanism.
