Irina's Romance - DVD

A story from the red library about Irka Minovskaya, the daughter of the director of a car factory, who falls in love with the assembler Lexy. Her father, however, does not like this unequal relationship and sends his daughter to a boarding school. Lexa quits his job at the factory and leaves for Yugoslavia. Irča decides to run after him. The young lovers set up the Adria bus company, which is brought to the brink of bankruptcy by a rival company owned by a mysterious Englishman.
The film was based on the immensely popular novel by Josef Roden. Rolf Wanka, whose popularity at the time was reaching the fame of Hollywood stars, was cast in the lead role. The film was partially shot in Yugoslavia, specifically in Dubrovnik and Kupari. It provides valuable footage of these places from the time when more and more Czechs began to discover the beauty of today's Croatia.
