Ivan Binar: just a blur in the sky

In his latest book, the Czech writer reopens and develops the theme of uprootedness and returns, the theme of the clash between man and history. Even in his descriptions of tragic events that fatally affect the protagonist, Ivan Binar can be witty and ironic, and exaggeration has its place in the text. The narrative unfolds on three levels; in addition to the flashbacks, the reader also follows the plot unfolding in the present, with the added bonus of the metaphorical plane of dream records.
