James and the Giant Peach

Jakub Tamtudy is a little boy who hasn't had much luck in life so far. Aunts Brčková and Bečková, with whom he grows up, are hideous grandmothers who deny him all fun. But when he meets a strange little man in the garden with magic in a paper bag, his life changes. An old peach tree that has never borne fruit miraculously produces a peach of unprecedented size. One evening, when Jakub gets through the tunnel to the stone, he discovers that the spell has also affected some of the garden's insect inhabitants who now live in the peach tree. Together with his new friends, he decides to run away from his terrible aunts and travel the world in a giant peach. And so, by sea and air, this unusual group makes its way from England to New York City.
