Jandová, Marta: Barvy - CD

Marta Jandová's first solo album!
A great singer, smart songs and honest pop-rock music – this is the combination that's set to shake up the domestic music scene!

Barvy presents Marta Jandová in a pop-rock style, which is closest to her heart. The album features distinctive hit songs like Černá i bílá, Milovat, Křídla and the opening track Cesta kolem světa, as well as emotional ballads like Barvy, Zůstaň tu se mnou and others. A special feature is the final rock composition Strach, where Marta pays a musical tribute to her favourite singer, Chris Cornell.

While Marta Jandová has released several successful records on a European scale with the German band Die Happy and has collaborated with a number of major international and domestic artists, she has only now released her first solo album after some time.

Marta is the co-writer for the majority of the songs and, with one exception, the sole lyricist for the entire repertoire. The exception is the bonus track Školíš mě by Marek Ztracený.
The foundation of the album was created at Propast studio with producer Lukáš Pavlík and Marta Jandová's backing band. The band consists of guitarist Ondřej Pátek, bassist Dalibor Mucha and keyboardist Jan Zlatuška. The drums were recorded by the producer himself, Lukáš Pavlík, who currently holds this position in the band Chinaski. The final mix was then done in Germany by Udo Rinklin, who has also worked with Die Happy and other successful artists, mainly from German-speaking countries.
