Jeremiah Johnson - DVD

Tired and disillusioned with civilization, Jeremiah Johnson decides to become a ranger and ventures into a wilderness whose purity he never doubted. The first winter in the Rockies nearly killed him. Starved and nearly frozen, he finds refuge with a seasoned old fur trapper (Will Geer) whose lessons in survival techniques include a direct confrontation with a grizzly.
The box office blockbuster, filmed entirely in Utah, brought together Robert Redford and two-time Oscar winner ® Sydney Pollack. It was the second of their six films together, and Jeremiah Johnson "returns to nature" in a way that no film before or since has captured.
