Jethro Tull: 50th Anniversary Collection (2018) - LP

In 1968, the legendary band released their first album This Was. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary, it has now prepared two new collections. Compilations are available in 3CD and CD variants. The 3CD for prosaic 50 For 50 contains fifty songs selected by Ian Anderson, representing all of the band' s twenty-one studio albums. The standalone CD marked 50th Anniversary Collection is subtitled Very Best On A Single and offers a compilation of the aforementioned 3CD. Now a narrow selection of ten recordings is also available on LP.

The famous British rock band, whose central character is the singer, guitarist and flute player Ian Anderson, was founded in 1967. Jethro Tull was originally dedicated to experimental blues rock, later their music absorbed elements of classical music, folk, jazz and hard rock. With the Stand Up record, they reached the top of the British charts in 1969, but the undue glory was ensured by the 1971 Aqualung record.
