Jethro Tull: This Was - LP

In February 1968, the band played their first concert under the name Jethro Tull. Not long after, they released their debut album, This Was. In autumn 2018, the release was commemorated with an expanded 3CD + DVD reissue featuring mixes by Steven Wilson. The box set also contained rare recordings from the period. Now, the original recording, remixed by Steven Wilson, is available separately on LP.

This famous British rock band, centred around singer, guitarist, and flautist Ian Anderson, was formed in 1967. Jethro Tull originally focused on experimental blues rock, but their music later absorbed elements of classical music, folk, jazz, and hard rock. They topped the British charts in 1969 with the album Stand Up, but it was the 1971 album Aqualung that secured their undying fame.
